As required by South Carolina’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), South Carolina Code of Laws Section 30-4-10 et seq. and subject to the exemptions set forth in Section 30-4-40, The Commissioners of Greenwood Metropolitan District (GMD) will provide copies or allow inspection of records in its custody.  All FOIA requests must be submitted in writing.  FOIA requests may be submitted as follows: (i) on the Freedom of Information Request Form located on GMD’s website, (ii) emailed to [email protected], or (iii) mailed to Greenwood Metropolitan District, Attn: Manager’s Office, 110 Metro Drive, Greenwood, SC 29646

 

FOIA Fee Schedule:

Pursuant to Section 30-4-30 of the FOIA, GMD has established the following fees for search, retrieval and redaction of records:

Administrative Time

The fee for the search, retrieval and redaction of records shall not exceed the prorated hourly salary of the lowest paid employee who has the necessary skills and training to fulfill the request.

Photocopying

$0.10 per copied page for all copies

Postage

If the FOIA request requires postage, the charge will be the actual cost associated with the process.

Deposit

A deposit not to exceed 25% of the total anticipated cost may be required before the search, retrieval and redaction of records.
