West Alexander Wastewater Treatment Plant

The West Alexander Wastewater Plant is a 2.2 MGD activated sludge treatment plant located near Highway 225. It provides wastewater treatment services to an area of approximately 8,200 acres. The treatment plant consists of screening equipment, grit removal, activated sludge treatment, tertiary treatment with cloth media filtration and ultraviolet disinfection, and a solids dewatering facility. Following dewatering, the biosolids are disposed of in an off-site landfill.

Wilson Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Wilson Creek Wastewater Plant is a 12 million gallon per day (MGD) biological treatment plant located on an 80-acre site near Highway 246. It provides wastewater treatment services to an area of approximately 39,000 acres. The treatment plant consists of screening equipment, grit removal, activated sludge treatment, tertiary treatment with cloth media filtration and ultraviolet light disinfection, and a solids dewatering facility. Following dewatering, the biosolids are disposed of in an off-site landfill.

The system has received multiple platinum, gold and silver awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies for compliance with the stringent parameters of its wastewater discharge permit.
